Polish sex ads abusing Google. Again.
A few weeks ago I described the fancy way of AdWords/AdSense decorating, using special UTF characters.
It was later republished under Google Blogoscoped. You can read a comment there — a guy named MTO claims that Google contacted him and removed his UTF-enhanced ads. (At least we know they don't approve such behaviour)...
But it seems like Google, still isn't well secured against special UTF codes in ads.
Pazkooda dropped me a line with the query: http://www.google.pl/search?q=video&hl=pl.
Is it only this one ► (►)? Or maybe there are more characters that Google hasn't filtered yet? BTW: if you need a good, online UFT converter, here you are: Unicode Converter (UTF-8 to HTML entity).
INLINE UPDATE: Yesterday, after I had put this post in drafts, I received information from Google, that playing with UTF special characters and AdSense code will be banned by tomorrow. No more fun, porn-lovers ;-)
However, I came up with another great idea how to enhance AdWord unit (overriding Google's UTF ban) but I decided to keep it to myself, as my previous post regarding ad enhancement was widely abused by some bad SEO guys, huh :-(
